April 18

After our night on the couch at the Establishment, Devon and I were both moving a little slower than normal so we coasted to the nearest coffee shop and fueled up with a delicious breakfast burrito! San Luis Obispo is a really nice town and I think we will certainly come back at some time in the future. Today was a pretty short day for us. We are very far ahead of schedule so we decided to make a detour to Montana de Oro a beautiful state park that we have been told we needed to see. Since we had extra time we stopped and did our laundry at a laundromat. The ride into the park was well worth it. The views were amazing and we took the afternoon to ride around the cliff side trails and take pictures of the rock formations. We also had time to walk the beach before dinner, which was a nice change to our schedule. We set up camp for the night and cooked dinner, then played a few rounds of cards before turning in.

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”
